| Just to get it out of the way, I’m in my 20s, 5’5”, blond, blue, queer, and taken. I was raised as a psuedo farm-boy from the Midwestern USA. And by that I know how to milk a cow and change the oil, etc. Finished school, bought a car, stumbled through some university, and got dumped out of the closet. I spent the rest of my youth tramping around and getting in trouble, but you don’t really need to know about all that. Three years ago I moved up north where it’s always too cold but they have a lot in the way of human rights and fried food. (I still speak the pathetic amount of French that I can with a southern accent.) The primary reason for this move was an irresistible and insistent dark-haired boy that at least Canada agrees is now my husband. |

| I have experience and or training with directing, scenography, film, photography, music, and art (and since none of these pay worth a damn, working in an Italian kitchen). I also have some formal education in most of those things and until I realized I was the crazy one, I was going to be a psychologist. As you’re probably here to see, I’m a photographer of many things. I’m also an avid artist and writer, including scientific illustration, children’s stories, and my own creepy little fantasies. Most of my inspiration comes from the twisted truths and ironies of queer culture, mythology and folklore, and the natural world in its entirety. Other weird hobbies of mine include finding, loving and crawling around in cemeteries and abandoned places, as well as reading, gear-headedness, playing with fire, tramping around, sampling whiskeys, haunting the living, and animal rescue/rehabilitation. That last one’s has led to sharing the current house with, aside from the husband, two cats, a lot of finches, and some cute little reptiles that nobody wanted. This journal is image intensive and yes, I will probably friend you back. I use this a lot as most of my friends are a country away now. There’s only one filter, and you’re probably not on it yet, but that’s okay, because I can be moody and dark and I’m old enough to not give a shit anymore and usually just let it fly. All the good stuff is public, the 18+ whatnot is friends only. | |
